CHAK joined fellow faith actors, MEDS, KCCB, SUPKEM, in the Faith-Based Organizations (FBO) Round Table with the visiting U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Delegation.

The dialogue focused on strengthening partnerships to accelerate Universal Health Coverage (UHC), local ownership, and self-reliance, highlighting the vital role of FBOs in Kenya’s health system, governance, and innovation within U.S. Government–supported programs.

Representing CHAK, Dr. Chris Barasa, General Secretary and CEO, reaffirmed CHAK’s century-long legacy of faith-driven healthcare and commitment to sustainability, quality, and equity through the CMaT and IMARA Care Models.

Faith Based Organisations such as MEDS continue to drive innovation in last-mile delivery and local manufacturing, as FBOs embrace a future of sustainable, community-anchored health systems rooted in faith, excellence, and accountability.

CHAK has sustained engagement with the USG through CDC and DOS and is continuing with implementation of its HIV/AIDS programmes, CHAP Stawisha and CHAK Jamii Tekelezi, which together support over 81,000 clients with high quality HIV/AIDS services.
