The CHAK Constitution provides for membership of “Any Protestant Church or church sponsored or related non-profit making organization or community group with the objective of promoting health and health service within the Republic of Kenya”.
Application for CHAK membership is made on a membership form prescribed by CHAK EXCO and submitted to the General Secretary for processing.
Each applicant is required to be proposed and seconded for membership by a voting member of CHAK.
Upon submission to the General Secretary, the application is required to be accompanied by an application processing fee of Ksh500 and a copy of the certificate of registration in Kenya of the body sponsoring the applicant.
Health units and churches applying for CHAK membership are required to submit a copy of their certificate of registration by the relevant authorities in Kenya.
The CHAK Executive Committee then considers the application on merit. Once registered, all members are issued with a membership certificate and an annual subscription payment certificate.
Members pay a set annual subscription fee and obtain rights to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
