The HSS Partnership is is a one-year (2023-2024) facility-based project with interventions delivered across a targeted network of tertiary (level 5) and higher-level secondary (level 4) health facilities. The project is implemented in 12 health facilities or program hubs and funded by Novartis Limited.
The program interventions are capacity building and training of healthcare workers, disease awareness and education activities, as well as sustainable access to quality health care services. The programme is focusing on six disease areas: cardiovascular disease, diabetic retinopathy, epilepsy, malaria, sickle cell disease and breast cancer.
- Project objectives
Undertake capacity building and training of healthcare workers (HCWs) across the selected program hubs in management of the 6 targeted disease areas. - Conduct disease awareness and education activities via the trained health care workers in the targeted disease areas
- Promote sustainable access to quality health services through strategic advocacy by CHAK for appropriate resource mobilization within the program hubs.
