CHAK HMIS Software (CHAK HMS)

CHAK has developed a responsive and customized Hospital Management Software built on the CARE2X and WebERP open-source systems. The CHAK Hospital Management Software (CHAK HMS) is being used by 21-member health units to support their operations.

The development process was inspired by the persistent need of member hospitals who were frustrated by the unaffordable cost, inadequate performance and lack of dependable support for other solutions that were offered off-the-shelf.

In 2020 CHAK HMS was upgraded to the latest software programing standards using Sencha, making it more user friendly. Hospitals with heavy databases and large transaction histories were transitioned to Linux operating system.

A total of 21 CHAK member health facilities are using the CHAK HMS software in their operations. These MHUs are:

CHAK Document Management System

CHAK Secretariat operates the Alfresco Document Management System which has enhanced financial reporting, review and feedback in grant management.  

CHAK Enterprise Management System (CHAK-EMS)

CHAK has enhanced its capacity for managing diverse projects operating in different geographical locations by acquiring an Enterprise Management System which has been named CHAK-EMS. The system assists in HR management, project activity planning, implementation and budget tracking, reporting and accountability.
